Unique ideas/Inspiration/Brooch Bouquets

Something proving popular this summer is the brooch bouquet, it can be such a fantastic idea for adding something really sentimental to your wedding outfit, adding some extra sparkle and best of all its something to keep afterwards!

 Some of these bouquets are purely made from a collection of brooches and pins where as some of the others are mixed with a floral bouquet. Some brides do this as a clever way of combining jewelry from departed relatives with their bouquet which will be held close to their heart on their special day.

After wondering why brides do carry a bouquet I found out one of the answers,

'One of the reasons that brides carried bouquets was born out of the ‘necessity’ of covering odour, trying to smell pretty on that special day.'

This may be one of the reasons people are being more adventurous and not having flowers.

One thing to bear in mind if you’re having a broach bouquet is to be careful if you’re throwing it!

Many new enquiries are coming through, lots of them loving the idea of having a marquee.

They’re perfect for a summer wedding and are a brilliant blank canvas for anybody’s dream day.
Many people think you become limited by having a marquee where in reality it gives you the chance to design your ultimate dream.

Above is a collection of images which express the huge possibilities when planning a
marquee wedding.

Lots of people see having a marquee as just a huge white tent, but you can literally build your own venue. You have the options of split levels, chill out areas, and you can introduce as much colour as you like.

Both weddings took place at the stunning Wentworth Castle Gardens within the same week, as always they were both unique and lived up to the expectations of the couples dream day!

I love getting to see wedding images after getting to know the couple so well and sharing their special day with them!

One of my first things to do after a consultation with a new bride and groom is to produce a moodboard which I think reflects what they want to see on their dream day!

I’ve been busy putting together many moodboards recently and it’s so exciting seeing so many unique ideas from everybody. I now just can’t wait to get going with the planning!

An example of a moodboard is this one, designed for a shabby chic wedding with a pale colour scheme.

 

After working with a couple and seeing the wedding through its amazing to see that their wedding pictures reflect that of the moodboard I created for them.

Unique Wedding Planning Bespoke Services

I have had two weddings this week & both have taken place at the stunning Wentworth Castle Gardens, with each couple receiving a unique & bespoke service.  They had completely different needs, with one requiring an on the day coordination marquee service & one needing full wedding planning support

Gemma and James were married on the 13^th April. I met them two years ago at a wedding show, & since this time, they’ve been busy, planning their big day – on the day, all they wanted was to sit back & enjoy it, without the stress of worrying about the coordination too
They had a fabulous marquee, which I set up in the morning, then I was on-hand to make sure that everything ran to plan – it was all perfect.. all except for the wind!
I hope they enjoyed their day as much as I did- the first time I looked at my watch, I’d been there 11 hours!

Emma and James were married on the 19^th April.  I met them just over a year ago and have worked with them on every aspect of their wedding – we went dress shopping & cake-tasting (the best bits!) & I helped them find all the rest of their suppliers & then coordinated the actual day for them.  It’s so rewarding to see everything come together!
Emma and James had a full wedding planning service & part of their brief was to have a Civil Ceremony, followed by an intimate blessing, again, something totally unique.  I produced a mood board at the start of our time together & can’t wait to show you how the professional images reflect this! 

Again, I hope they enjoyed their day as much as I did - it just flew by and was amazing to be a part of it!

What an incredible event last week at Brookfield Manor! 

With more than 130 people through the door it was an amazing first show for the venue, the weather was perfect and it was fantastic to see so many people.

There's only 5 days to go until The Stancliffe Hall Designer Wedding Show.
Taking place this Sunday 17^th March

Chatsworth Wedding Fair – Sunday 24^th February 2013

For the first time ever and with great excitement, I’m pleased to announce Unique Wedding Planning will be exhibiting at Chatsworth House this Sunday.

Chatsworth House, home to the Duke of Devonshire makes an exceptional location for all weddings, receptions and civil partnerships; it is a unique venue that epitomises quality and elegance.

Chatsworth house is located in the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire and is set in a stunning 1000 acre park land. Surrounded by 105 acres of beautifully maintained gardens, with giant water features, striking flowers and magnificent views of the park it is the perfect setting for the perfect day.

I was lucky enough to organise four fabulous wedding shows at three of the most stunning venues in Yorkshire & Derbyshire - Stancliffe Hall, Thornbridge Hall & Wentworth Castle Gardens

Its looking like another busy year for unique, with January already gone and many new enquiries, there looks to be another exciting year in-store. Grabbing time whilst possible in between meeting couples, venue visits and preparation for wedding shows I'm back to blogging.

The Stancliffe Hall Designer Wedding Show

I was asked at the end of last year, if I'd like to organise the next Wedding Fayre for Stancliffe Hall & immediately said "yes".  It was a prefect opportunity to combine my marketing skills from the past with all the relationships that I've made since becoming a Wedding Planner 2 years ago

Stancliffe Hall is such a prestigious venue but has the feel of a luxurious home, hence it's 6 star home reputation 

Truly exclusive hire will enable you & your guests to have private use of the hall & grounds for your Unique day

Such a special place deserved it's title of "The Designer Wedding Show" & the suppliers there were hand-picked to compliment the venue - Molton Brown also sponsored the event.

Everything was planned to the last detail - (except the weather- which was awful !) & all the suppliers & the Stancliffe team had an extremely successful day, with many taking bookings during the show - Believe me, if you were going to come out on a day like that, then you were a serious buyer!
